Although Michael graduated from Cosmetology School at San Jose City College in 1997, his introduction to the hair industry began long before that; both of his parents were stylists and they inspired not only his passion for the industry but also his desire to own his own salon. As a result of his history, the Michael Anthony Salon has successfully infused the feel of family tradition in a cutting edge, high end salon.

Michael believes that the key to success, both as a stylist and salon owner, is providing the best possible customer service to each and every client and that goal continues to be his number one priority. On-going education is a close second; Michael has attended and participated in classes from coast to coast and never misses a chance to bring industry education into his own salon.

Michael thrives off of client interaction. He loves that his day to day “routine” is ever changing, ever evolving and, for anyone who knows Michael, ever going! Cutting and coloring are his strengths; those services.

Michael has established the Michael Anthony Salon as a staple in the community and a home away from home for himself, his team of stylists and his clients.

Since graduating cosmetology school at San Jose City College in 2006, Ashley started off by apprenticing Michael Anthony at his former salon, Demetris The Hair People. Now at Michael Anthony Salon, she has built her clientele by continuously enhancing her knowledge through training from elite educators and brands including Bumble and Bumble, Redken, Pureology, Kerestase and Oribe and is also certified in Coppola's Keratin smoothing treatments and HotHeads Extensions. Through her talent in haircutting, color, and styling; Ashley makes sure to bring her artistic expression, allowing a wearable style that compliments each individual client. Her goal is not only to achieve great results in the salon but also to educate her clients on how to style and care for their hair at home.

Since graduating from The Academy for Salon Professionals in 2014, Chellia has found her home at Michael Anthony Salon. Born and raised in Santa Cruz, Chellia loves giving her clients that natural “beachy” feel through her haircuts, coloring, balayage/blonding techniques and styling. Chellia keeps up on all the latest trends and is always continuing her education as the beauty industry looks are always changing. She is certified in HotHeads hair extensions, Devacurl haircuts and styling, and Keratin Smoothing Treatments. She is also one of our managers and the social media director at the salon. Karli started her journey at Michael Anthony Salon in 2018. Since then, she has completed the associate program with Michael himself and is now seeing clients full time. Karli is both Brazilian blowout and Keratin certified. She also continuously stays on top of her education by taking color and haircutting classes to learn new techniques and the latest trends including being balayage trained. Her goal in having you as a client is to achieve the color and cut you desire while keeping your hair healthy and manageable in and out of the salon.

Over 30 years ago, Cory had the opportunity that many aspiring young stylists never receive, to train as an apprentice at the “it” salon under an amazing master stylist. This experience not only shaped the foundation for Cory’s career but also allowed her to begin building the most important part of her business from day one, her clientele; many of who are still her clients today at Michael Anthony Salon!

Cutting a bob may be Cory’s favorite thing to do but it’s not her only claim to fame. She is also an expert colorist and gives a great perm! Cory’s ability to provide her clients with an experience and results they are happy with can be attributed to her listening skills and the genuine connection she develops with them; her commitment to continuing education doesn’t hurt either.

If Cory had a theme song it would be Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family” and not just because that’s how she makes you feel when you’re in her chair but because of her fun-loving personality and for the simple reason that you can’t help but smile after just a few minutes with her. She has a passion for what she does because she loves it! Cory put it best when she said “how lucky am I to be able to do this every day? It’s an instant reward with each and every client”!

Having worked in high end, cutting edge salons for the last 30 years, Deborah feels right at home at Michael Anthony Salon. Deborah had a full clientele within one year of becoming a hair dresser, a feat that most stylists achieve only after years behind the chair. As a result, she didn’t have to only focus on client building and was able to spend her time on something just as important, continuing education. She has completed hundreds of classes over the years including specialized training with Aveda, Tony and Guy, Redken Exchange and Bumble and bumble in New York (just to name a few).

Deborah prides herself on wanting to know all there is to know when it comes to hair and the industry so her clients can sit back, relax and know their hair is in expert hands. She strongly believes that a thorough consultation results in a satisfying experience every time. And although technically skilled, Deborah’s natural flare and creative edge are what keeps her clients coming back year after year!

Deborah’s warm and open hearted nature explains why she feels the need to get to know each of her clients on a personal level. She loves the idea of bringing beauty into her their lives and while they are in her chair she strives to make them feel like a V.I.P.

With over 15 years of experience, Hedi has a diverse history in the hair industry. She originally received her Cosmetology License in Iran and earned it again from California Cosmetology School once she moved to the U.S. but it was with Yosh where she learned to master her craft. Since then, Hedi has been a stylist in Saratoga for more than 12 years and is a welcomed addition to the Michael Anthony Salon team.

Having been trained by Yosh, Hedi has perfected the art of haircutting, as well as color and highlighting. Wanting to offer her clients an array of services is what drove her to become certified in Yuko Straightening over 10 years ago. Continuing education is something Hedi values and she attends classes and shows on a regular basis to ensure she is up to date with all of the latest trends.

Hedi works from the heart and a happy, satisfied client are what she strives for. She is a great listener, knows what her client needs and has an innate ability to give them exactly what they want. Hedi achieves amazing results by providing a thorough consultation each and every time; that and her genuine care for her clients are what keeps her chair always occupied.

Michelle Demeny began her career in 1992 and has brought her talent and flare for creativity to the industry for 20 years.

Michelle graduated from San Jose City College Cosmetology and built her clientele while apprenticing at Rose-Devlin and Brats Hair Design. She keeps up with the latest trends and techniques by training both locally and at the Redken Exchange in New York City.

Michelle has a passion for assisting her clients in choosing the color and style that best fits their lifestyle, career and budget. She not strives to achieve great results in the salon but also to educate her clients on how to style and care for their hair at home.
